    Fifty-eight acres of former coconut plantation on a hilltop above the Gulf of Thailand, now home to a Forbes Four Star resort with thatched villas, private plunge pools, two beaches, and enough dining options that you could spend a week here without repeating yourself. The Spa Village is a whole destination on its own. For a Ritz-Carlton, the setting feels genuinely wild, the kind of green hillside that makes the air smell different.
