    A lobby fireplace separates the mirrored bar from the seating area, and the whole ground floor reads like a museum annex, which is apt given that SFMOMA is next door and the Museum of the African Diaspora occupies part of the building. This Forbes Five Star hotel keeps rooms large by San Francisco standards, with neutral Yabu Pushelberg interiors and deep soaking tubs. Athletes, touring bands, and anyone else who needs a quiet car on call tend to wash up here.
