    A converted 18th-century villa tucked among Aix's townhouses, this small luxury hotel pulls off the trick of feeling like someone's very grand country estate. Classic rooms already run to parquet floors and monogrammed robes; the suites push further into genuinely theatrical territory. A pool, a garden, a pocket spa, and a conservatory restaurant with a zinc bar fill out the picture for guests who aren't planning to leave anytime soon.
