    A stone manor in vineyard country near Ponte Ulla, Villa Verde is a traditional restaurant where the dining room gathers around a proper lareira fireplace and an old wine cellar still holds a working lagar trough. The cooking is rooted in Galician home tradition, leaning on whatever the season offers, with wild mushrooms and fresh seafood doing most of the talking. Country-house atmosphere without the pretension of needing to perform it.
