    A vertical garden climbs one wall, a light installation glows nearby, and the pool deck looks like it was airlifted from a beach resort. This 31-story hotel in Xinyi sits close enough to Taipei 101 to feel like a conversation with it. Rooms are quieter than the lobby suggests, though soaking tubs and the famously cosseting W bed soften any disappointment. The hotel holds a Forbes Four Star rating.
