A forest-edge Bavarian inn where the cosy alcoves and wood-panelled dining rooms make it easy to lose an afternoon to schnitzel and regional classics with the odd international detour. The kitchen leans on fresh, seasonal ingredients, the staff are genuinely warm, and in summer the rear terrace with its green canopy of trees turns the whole meal into something leisurely. Good for an overnight stay, too.
