Blond wood paneling and red fabric give the main chalet that classic mountain-lodge look, but the rooms inside run firmly contemporary, and the two freestanding guest chalets manage to be rustic in appearance while remaining quite plush underfoot. The hotel holds a Michelin Key, and the attached restaurant has built a following around its take on Swabian Jura cooking. It sits in Königsbronn, which is not a name most travelers have circled on a map, but that seems to be part of the appeal.
