The Best Seafood Near D Maris Bay, by the Record

  1. Rank 1. Orfoz

    Seafood

A family-run seafood restaurant on a bay in Bodrum, where the brothers who own it also fish it, which explains a lot. The cooking is plant-forward alongside the seafood, the supply chain is almost comically short, and the wine list, which includes a few of their own labels, reads like a side project that got out of hand. The Michelin Guide has its eye on it.

  2. A seafood restaurant on the Göltürkbükü waterfront where the terrace sits under tall trees close enough to the shore that the setting does half the work. The kitchen keeps things unfussy, letting the day's fish speak for itself, and the cold mezze counter near the entrance is worth circling before you sit. Cold baklava finishes things on a note that sounds wrong until it isn't. The Michelin Guide has selected it.

The score comes from the awards it's won, weighted by who gave them: a Michelin star outweighs a listicle. When you sort by what's nearby, distance changes the order, never the score.

          Best Place Score

The Best Place Score rates the area around a point, not any one place. It runs on the scored places nearby: more good stuff within reach, higher score. If it looks low, we probably haven't found enough critics out here yet.
