China has exactly one place on the list so far: Canaan Winery, honored by The 50.
-
A wine destination 80km from Beijing, Canaan Winery sits on land chosen only after a team analyzed hundreds of soil samples across more than a dozen provinces. The vines are relatively young, but the wines have developed a following among people who take that sort of thing seriously. It's the kind of place that makes a convincing case that China's wine country is a real thing worth the detour.
