    A small, family-run Italian trattoria a short walk from Carnegie Hall, where regulars get greeted by name and the menu shifts daily around house-made pastas and fresh grilled fish. The room has the kind of unhurried, personal energy that midtown Manhattan mostly stopped producing a generation ago. Prices stay reasonable, the service is warm without being performative, and some of the clientele treat it as an annual pilgrimage.
