    A Wilhelminian villa on the western tip of Norderney, one of Germany's North Sea islands, where the beach is somehow the unexpected part. The hotel keeps things quietly stylish, with minimalist rooms and suites, several looking out to sea, and a spa running both a Finnish and a bio-sauna. The in-house restaurant leans into comforting, home-cooking-inflected food. The Michelin Guide awarded it one Key.
