    Boldly striped curtains, patterned wallpapers, and potted plants everywhere: Absalon Hotel is a deliberate argument against the idea that Danish design has to be beige and austere. This family-run Vesterbro hotel occupies a classic corner building, with rooms organized by color theme and white oak floors throughout. Bikes are available to rent, the Scandinavian breakfast buffet is generous, and a small cocktail bar handles the pre-dinner hour nicely.
