    A century-old YMCA in East Liberty that local artists helped reimagine rather than just move into. The Ace is a hotel where spare, sunny rooms coexist with ornate bones, suites come stocked with turntables and acoustic guitars, and the lobby fills daily with the laptop-open, coffee-nursing crowd. The anchor bar, Whitfield, runs a neighborhood-tavern menu with meat butchered in-house from a single nearby ranch.
