    Soaking tubs positioned in front of floor-to-ceiling windows looking out over the Basque coastline is the opening move at Akelarre, a 22-room luxury boutique hotel just west of Monte Igueldo. Rooms start at fifty square meters, suites at a hundred, and the suites add plunge pools. The spa leans into heavy stone architecture, and the Michelin Guide has awarded Akelarre 2 Keys. The restaurant attached is, separately, a pilgrimage destination.
