A 15-room boutique hotel in Montevideo's Ciudad Vieja where each room is named for a famous Uruguayan, from poets to athletes, and decorated to match. The colonial building has been restored with French doors, wrought-iron railings, and whimsical wallpaper. A rooftop terrace with a wood-paneled Jacuzzi sits above the old city's trees, and the library downstairs is a reasonable excuse to try Tannat, Uruguay's quietly excellent red.
