Beneath an old plane tree on the garden terrace, this Michelin-starred inn in the Bernese Oberland runs as a family affair, and has for a very long time. The chef builds seasonal menus of four to seven courses around regional produce, some from their own garden, some from a nearby alp, and cheese he makes himself. His wife runs the room with the kind of warmth that also knows exactly which bottle to open.
