1. Amanera

    Amanera is an ultra-luxury resort perched above one of the Dominican Republic's great beaches, and it runs on the kind of ratio that makes you feel like royalty: 2,000 acres, a private mountain, a gorgeous stretch of sand, and only 25 casitas to share it all.
