    Amano is a Mexican restaurant in a light-filled former bank lobby in Caldwell, which is the kind of setting where the tacos arrive and nobody thinks to ask about your savings. The chef won a James Beard Award for Best Chef: Mountain, and the room is festive in a way small-town Idaho doesn't usually advertise.
