    Waking up to Lake Annecy through your window is the kind of thing that makes you feel better about your life choices. This lakeside hotel in Talloires holds 22 rooms and suites, each a little different but sharing a calm palette and a relaxed mix of modern and vintage design. Celebrity chef Jean Sulpice, who owns and runs the place, has also folded in a proper spa, a terrace bar, and two restaurants, so you rarely need to leave.
