Five suites and a freestanding three-bedroom cottage in a quiet residential pocket a short walk from Byron Bay's main beach: Bask & Stow keeps things deliberately small. The architect drew from Palm Springs modernism and Bauhaus, so the look is clean lines, blond wood, and white walls, which some guests clock as Scandinavian anyway. All rooms have kitchenettes, most have bathtubs, and there's a plunge pool in the gardens for the rest of the time.
