The golgappe here have been a reason to visit Bengali Market for as long as anyone can remember: crispy semolina shells stuffed with potato and chickpea, then flooded with cold tamarind water. This old-school sweet shop and snack counter also does ladoos and jalebis, the latter fried to order and soaked in saffron syrup. The crowd tends to mix office workers and families who've been coming since childhood, which tells you something.
