The flower market on Columbia Road draws the weekend crowds, but Brawn has been the reason to stay for lunch long after the stalls pack up. It's a snug, light-filled neighborhood restaurant with a Mediterranean-British menu that reads like it was written by someone who actually wanted to eat all of it. The room has that worn-in, comfortable feel, and the cooking is understated in the way that takes real confidence to pull off.
