    A historic Châteauneuf-du-Pape estate that went biodynamic before most winemakers knew the word, Beaucastel has been farming with obsessive restraint for decades. Their flagship rouge draws on all 13 permitted grape varieties, each harvested by hand and vinified separately before blending. Visits are by appointment, so this is a pilgrimage for the seriously wine-curious rather than a casual drop-in.
