Chère Amie
Traditional French
A grand old Prussian post office in the Neustadt quarter, now a spacious brasserie where the whole conceit, name, decor and menu card design, plays on the art of letter writing. The kitchen leans classical: sauerkraut, beef tartare, bouchée à la reine, lobster bisque. It's the kind of place where the room does half the work, and the traditional French menu handles the rest without asking too much of your wallet.
