Floor-to-ceiling glass puts Lake Chiemsee front and center at this modern luxury hotel, a deliberate counterpoint to the alpine-kitsch resorts lining the same shore. Milanese architect Matteo Thun pulled the design from the landscape itself, using local wood and stone to keep things grounded while the suites lean into open-air Japanese soaking tubs and fireplaces that look borrowed from a sci-fi set. A sushi bar and cocktail lounge handle evenings. The Michelin Guide awarded it one Key.
