Core by Clare Smyth
Modern British
Clare Smyth was the first British woman to hold three Michelin stars, and Core, her own Notting Hill fine dining room, holds three of its own. The tasting menus split neatly between seasonal new work and signatures like a potato dish finished with herring and trout roe instead of the expected caviar. Hogget, mutton, and vegetables carry the same weight here as truffle does elsewhere, which is either refreshing or quietly confrontational, depending on your table.
