Traditional Catalan
Stone arches from the medieval city frame an open kitchen in this Catalan restaurant tucked into a narrow lane of Girona's old quarter. The couple running the room trained with the Roca brothers, and the cooking follows the seasons with a traditional Catalan backbone that's been quietly modernized without announcing it. Palamós shrimp and piparra peppers make regular appearances, and the space alone could carry the meal.
