    The mustard spoon is communal, and nobody seems to mind. Van Dobben is an old-school Amsterdam lunchroom that has been slinging croquettes since before your grandparents were dating, and in a city where every café claims a croquette, this one sets the baseline. Soft white rolls, fried things, and a broodje tartaar topped with raw beef, boiled egg, and a generous heap of mayo for the committed. Retro and unpretentious in equal measure.
