A tiny kebab counter tucked into the Nizamuddin neighborhood, steps from the shrine of the Sufi saint, where the owner will tell you the beef kebabs are made with a poet's eternal love and mean it without irony. The regulars, who range from Bollywood faces to mosque-goers finishing Friday prayers, tend to order the same thing: one plate of beef kebabs, roomali roti, and the house chutney that comes in generous puddles on a paper plate.
