    Ski-in/ski-out at nearly 2,000 meters in the Ötztal Alps, at the very end of the valley road where the tarmac simply gives up. This alpine hotel takes its food seriously enough that the restaurant holds a Michelin star, and the sommelier's wine list keeps pace. Rooms run to pine and white, clean and unfussy. The kind of place where the mountain does the decorating and the kitchen handles the rest.
