A 3D-printed installation by artist Pio Diaz greets you in the lobby, and that sets the register for what follows. This design hotel near Kongens Nytorv occupies a former transformer station, and the bones show: raw concrete, exposed iron, dark bronze on the facade. Deep carpets and marble bathrooms tucked inside sculptural cubes do the softening. Copenhagen takes design seriously, and Herman K has clearly read the room.
