    Perched on a big pedestrian piazza at the edge of Alba's old town, this trattoria-style spot splits its menu between Piedmontese classics and whatever fish looked good at the market that morning. The breaded anchovies with saor sauce show up on most lists of reasons to come. Local wines and regional beers fill out a drinks list that takes both seriously, which in Piedmont is either obvious or everything, depending on whom you ask.
