    The elegant white lakeside pile on the Außenalster has been an old-school Hamburg institution long enough that the grand ballroom feels like a birthright rather than a gesture. Rooms lean into the classic style rather than fighting it, updated with the comforts you'd expect from a Marriott Autograph property. The French fine-dining restaurant is what regulars talk about; the bars are the kind where nobody seems to be in a hurry.
