Original fireplaces, twenties-era fixtures, and dark wood armoires survived the restoration; the elevator did not, so you carry your own bags up. Nineteen rooms sit a block from Pablo Neruda's Santiago house in Bellavista, and the terrace is well-positioned for a glass of local Carménère and watching the neighborhood move.
