The restaurant, Sen, runs twenty-four hours and overlooks a tree canopy from the second floor, which sets the tone for this forested hotel outside Hangzhou, closer to a thousand-year-old temple than to the city it's named after. Contemporary interiors pull in classic motifs, though the design's real argument is the view: the surrounding "Kingdom of Trees" is visible from almost everywhere, including two pools, indoor and out.
