    A former orphanage on the Riva degli Schiavoni, this boutique hotel has been so thoroughly colonized by the owning family's art and curiosity collections that every corridor feels like a cabinet of wonders. The Oriental tearoom occupies what was once a chapel. Rooms overlook the Grand Canal, and guests arriving by boat can slip in through a private water entrance, which is exactly as satisfying as it sounds.
