    The Hotel Royal has been around forever, sitting on Store Torv right in the middle of Aarhus, a square the whole city seems to pass through. It's a classic city-center hotel with rooms that mix 19th-century bones with modern comfort without making a fuss about either. Queen's Garden does breakfast in the morning and pivots to cocktails and light bites by evening. Denmark's second city has a way of sneaking up on you, and the Royal puts you close to all of it.
