Hotel Seehof Davos

Steps from the Parsenn funicular, this old-school alpine hotel has been refreshed into something considerably more polished without losing the wood-paneled, fireplace-and-plaid soul that made it worth preserving. Rooms are lined in Swiss stone pine, suites lean into full chalet mode with soaking tubs and wool rugs, and the bistro does fondue with some conviction. Davos in January means a certain kind of guest, but the mountain access is the same for everyone.
