The Lobby bar, dressed in velvet stage curtains and vintage show posters, pulls in locals who have nothing to do with the hotel, which is a good sign. Hotel V Nesplein is a boutique stay in a converted office block at the center of Amsterdam's theater district, rooms done up in mid-century-meets-industrial: dark wood floors, faded rugs, gold wallpaper. Most of what you came to see is walkable from the front door.
