A glass-and-steel waterfront hotel sitting squarely in Dusseldorf's Media Harbour, where the architecture outside and the interiors inside both seem to be trying to say something, and largely succeed. Rooms are organized for business travel without feeling punitive about it, and the bathrooms lean toward the indulgent end with walk-in rain showers and separate tubs. The Rive spa and a Technogym fitness center with harbour views round things out, as Germany insists they should.
