Il Capestrano
Abruzzo Italian
A stone warrior from 500 BC lends his name to this Milanese trattoria devoted entirely to Abruzzo, a region whose cooking doesn't often make it this far north. The menu leans on small producers: aged hams, aged cheeses, mutton, lamb cooked a few different ways, and grilled skewers that smell like a country feast. If you thought Abruzzo was mainly a wine footnote, this place quietly argues otherwise.
