The Lindenterrasse terrace, perched above the River Elbe, does most of the selling before the food even arrives. Inside Hotel Louis C. Jacob, this is a formal dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows keeping the view in play year-round. The kitchen runs classic French technique through a modern register, with à la carte and six-course menus, vegetarian included. Service is polished without being stiff, and the wine list has clearly been thought about.
