1. Keem Beach is a horseshoe-shaped cove on Achill Island that looks like someone photoshopped Caribbean water onto the Irish coast, except it's real and it's free. The cliffs hem it in on all sides, the sand is nearly white, and the water is genuinely clean and swimmable in summer. Getting there means a winding cliff road with sheep wandering across it, which sets the tone nicely. It made the World's 50 Best Beaches list, and honestly, fair enough.
