The entrance is easy to walk past, which would be a shame, because inside the Salzamt sits a small, Michelin-starred restaurant with a vaulted ceiling and a wine cellar running to over 1,200 labels. The chef and the owner have been at this together for years, and the owner's habit of steering guests toward the right bottle is the kind of service that makes a long dinner feel effortless. Surprise tasting menus in a few lengths keep things interesting.
