    The kitchen sits in the middle of the dining room, wrapped by an L-shaped counter where guests watch the cooks work and hear about each dish from the people who made it. It's an intimate, chef's-counter-style restaurant a few steps from the Split waterfront, holding a Michelin star, with a menu built almost entirely from local sea and hinterland. Fish and meat age in refrigerators you can see from your seat, which is either reassuring or a conversation starter.
