Twelve strangers share one long table in a vaulted cellar beneath Bordeaux's Grand Théâtre, which tells you most of what you need to know about this one-Michelin-star tasting experience. Philippe Etchebest's creative menu is a surprise from start to finish, including the wine pairings and even the cutlery, which guests choose themselves. The chef may or may not be in the room, but he opens the evening by video call regardless, which is either charming or slightly unsettling depending on your constitution.
