Lalique
Modern French
A Lalique crystal chandelier hangs overhead, and a glass extension frames the Sauternes vineyards outside, so the setting does half the work before the food arrives. This is a two-Michelin-star fine dining room inside Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey, where the chef calls himself a cook of the vines and means it, building dishes around the terroir of Sauternes, which then turns up in force on the wine list.
