L'Arbre
French
The building is Sou Fujimoto's tree-shaped tower, and the restaurant occupies its ground floor, which gives the whole lunch a certain architectural alibi. It's a contemporary brasserie with a white-on-white interior and a green patio by the canal that fills up fast on warm days. The menu runs to classic French gourmet cooking, the kind where veal liver and Madeira sauce feel entirely at home.
