Maison Devaux
Modern Bistro French
Terracotta tiles and exposed beams set the tone in this half-timbered building typical of Les Landes, where a young chef from a long line of cooks runs a modern bistro rooted in the surrounding region. Local craftspeople made the crockery and tables, and the kitchen leans on nearby producers just as heavily. The cooking is precise and creative without performing about it, which in rural southwest France feels refreshingly honest.
