A former café that held court for Arlesians for generations, this twelve-suite boutique hotel was rescued and reimagined by two entrepreneurs with good taste and apparent restraint. Rooms mix antiques with Scandinavian pieces, terrazzo floors, Murano lamps, and kimonos instead of the usual sad robes. The street-level restaurant does chalkboard menus and local wine at wooden tables, and breakfast can come to your door or be taken among the regulars below.
